Offshore Operations
CTC Marine Projects executes professional offshore operations for clients around the world. Often in extreme weather and difficult environmental conditions, CTC’s offshore crew has the expertise and experience to mitigate any challenges that they are faced with on a daily basis or indeed in unique circumstances.
CTC has the capability to manage both small and large size offshore contracts fulfilling safe and timely completion to the satisfaction of operators and main contractors. CTC is accredited to ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 operating a robust Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001, which ensures an effective reporting system is used offshore. Operations are also carried out to meet all required safety rules and regulations as well as codes of practice and client-specific requirements which are imposed.
With the responsibility to protect the environment in every way we can, CTC focuses on minimising the impact to the environment resulting from routine offshore operational activities. CTC ensures that the most environmentally-friendly methods are used offshore. This is achieved by the commitment to a strategy of continual environmental improvement and to using material and energy efficiently when providing products and services
Trenching is regarded as one of the most environmentally-acceptable ways of protecting pipelines, cables and umbilicals on the seabed, and CTC is a world leader in the provision of this type of service. Trenching is routinely performed around the world to improve product stability and provide protection from external and natural aggression such as vessel anchoring. This ultimately provides a reduction of logistic costs in terms of coating and injection.
In addition, CTC’s trenching technology is environmentally enhanced in comparison to other protection methods including the dumping of large volumes of rock, which results in the introduction of foreign materials into the local marine environment.
